Frequently asked questions
The Uchida UBO-105CD is suited to homes and offices that need 52.5 L of fire-resistant storage with traditional mechanical locking. It measures 670 H × 500 W × 470 D mm, weighs 105 kg and includes one top lockable drawer and one adjustable shelf. Buyers should confirm that the delivery route and final position can accommodate its size and weight.
The Uchida UBO-105CD provides 120 minutes under JIS S 1037 fire resistance for paper documents. Fire resistance does not make a safe fireproof, and performance depends on the tested conditions, correct closure and the type of contents stored.
The UBO-105CD uses a key lock used with a dial combination lock. Keep every operational or override key secure and separate from the safe, and restrict combinations or codes to authorised users.
It has removable castors, stands 610 mm high without them, and has no mounting hole.
No, not comfortably in the normal orientation. Even after removing the adjustable middle shelf, a standard 14-inch laptop can only be placed diagonally inside the UBO-105CD. For easier placement and removal, we recommend at least the Uchida UBO-140CD or a larger Uchida model.
Delivery and handling
- Free delivery within Klang Valley — to the ground floor, or to any floor reached by a lift that can take the safe.
- A doorstep or a short flight of up to three steps is still free. Beyond that, carrying a safe up stairs needs extra manpower and carries a handling charge per floor — the amount depends on the safe’s weight and is shown on the product page before you add it to the cart. This applies where our own team delivers; a courier leaves the safe at the ground floor or lobby and cannot take it further.
- Outside Klang Valley, a safe up to 65 kg is sent by courier and the charge is calculated at checkout once you enter your address. The courier delivers to the ground floor or building lobby only and cannot carry a safe upstairs, even where there is a lift, so please arrange your own help for the last leg. A heavier safe travels on our own lorry: place the order and we will confirm the delivery charge with you before we deliver. Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan ship through our East Malaysia forwarder, quoted separately.
Not sure whether your lift or doorway will take the safe? Message us on WhatsApp and we will check it with you before you order.
